Unique Events – Mile in Antarctica

The Space Athletics Federation® likes unique challenges, both on and off Earth. We wondered what it would be like to have an elite sub 4-minute miler run in Antarctica.

Space Athletics Federation® athlete Paul Robinson took up the challenge on November 25th 2017. He made headlines around the world by running a mile in 4 mins 17.9 secs at Union Glacier, just 650 miles from the South Pole. Temperature was -20 Celsius. Terrain was snow. Scenery was breathtaking!

We look forward to creating unique challenges off Earth.
